Friday Futsal Overview
- Ages 5 - 12
- Registration Fee - $120 (not including practice uniform)
- Spring Session: March - May
- Fall Session: September - December
- 12 one hour sessions of futsal (indoor soccer) on Friday evenings
- Coed - both boys and girls play together
Futsal is a fun and exciting 5 on 5 game of soccer that can be played indoor or outdoor, on a court about the size of a basketball court. The SGV Seals host our Friday Futsal sessions in the gym at First Baptist Church of Temple City, or at Duarte Sports Park. The Spring session runs for 12 weeks starting in February and ending in May, and the Fall session starts in September and ends in November. Our Friday Futsal sessions have become very popular and usually fill up very fast. We have three different age/ability groups for your child to participate in. Kids are loosely placed in age groups but can be moved up or down to the next group/level based on ability:
- Beginning/U10 - 5pm to 6pm
- Intermediate/U12 - 6:10pm to 7:10pm
- Advanced/12+ - 7:20pm to 8:20pm
Each session runs for an hour and primarily consists of playing games. We simply divide into teams of 5 and play, winning team stays on. The beginning group will get some practice and instruction on proper technique before getting into games, but we try to spend the majority of the hour playing games. The kids get tons of touches on the ball in this fast paced dynamic game, and they have a lot of fun.
Registration for Friday Futsal takes place in January for the Spring session and in August for the Fall session. The cost or registration for Friday Futsal is $120 ($10 per session), not including the training uniform ($25 shirt & shorts). The training uniform can be purchased during registration.
